The room was already there
Discord has had voice channels for years. One tap and you’re talking. It works on a phone, your members are already in the server, and nobody installs anything to join. The room existed. A way to charge for getting in did not. Paid Live Events adds that. You set a price on a voice session, and PayBot handles who gets in. The spreadsheet and the DMs go away.
One link, every show
Create an Event product, set the price, and point it at a private voice channel. PayBot gives you one permanent payment link that never needs replacing. Each payment buys one seat to the next show. Sell the ticket inside the building
The payment link is how people find you from the outside. Inside your own server, you have a faster path.
You can post the event as a promo card in any channel. It shows a short intro from you or from the server, the offer, the price, and a Get Access button. A member reading your announcements taps that button and buys the seat right there in Discord. No account to link. No website to visit. No app to leave. The purchase happens where the conversation already is.
You can go live and post the promo in the same action. For a large server this is the point. Your audience is already standing in the building. You don’t need to send them somewhere else to buy a ticket. Post the card, and the people who want in can act on it before they scroll past.
What the member sees is one card: your description, the price, and a button. They tap, they pay, they’re in. What you see is another seat sold. No spreadsheet. No DM. No chasing payments after the fact.
Starting the show
You start the show. PayBot creates a temporary role, gives it to everyone holding a ticket, and sends each of them a direct link to the voice channel. They tap the link and land in the room. Anyone who buys while you are live gets the same access right away. When you end the show, the tickets are spent, the room closes, and the same permanent link is already selling seats to the next one.

A Discord voice channel holds 99 people. A Stage holds ten speakers and thousands of listeners. The format works for a small coaching call or a full auditorium.
If you’re already running a paid Discord server, a live session is the easiest thing to add on top of what you have. And if you’re building a paid community around recurring events, the live session becomes the anchor. The event gives people a reason to show up, and the community gives them a reason to stay between sessions. What it does and doesn’t do yet
Someone who already holds a ticket cannot buy a second one. The payment page tells them their ticket is ready. Someone who does not show up either spends the ticket or carries it to the next show, and you choose which per event. A refund removes the seat.
Two things it does not do yet. You open each show yourself, because scheduled and recurring events are not exposed yet. And the voice channel has to already be private before you point an event at it.
