Until now, the answer was “go into Stripe, find the customer, navigate to their balance, and manually add a credit.” Not exactly a two-minute task — especially if you’re doing it for multiple people.
Now you can gift free months directly from Discord.
What’s New
The /manage command now includes a Gift Free Time action for any paid subscriber. Select a subscriber, pick how many months to gift, confirm — done. PayBot applies a credit to their Stripe balance that automatically reduces their next invoice.

How It Works
- Run
/manageand select the subscriber - Choose Gift Free Time from the action dropdown
- Pick 1, 2, 3, or a custom number of months (up to 24)
- Review the credit amount and hit Apply Credit
The credit is applied to the subscriber’s Stripe balance immediately. When their next invoice generates, Stripe deducts the credit automatically. If you gifted more than one month, the remaining credit rolls over to the following invoice.
The subscriber’s access stays fully active throughout — this isn’t a pause or cancellation. They just don’t get charged for the gifted period.
Why This Matters
Every Discord community eventually needs a way to comp time. Whether it’s a promotion, a thank-you, or a “sorry about that” — manually adjusting Stripe invoices is friction that stops admins from doing the thing that builds loyalty.
Here’s what this unlocks:
Run promotions without coupon codes. Advertise “subscribe and get your first month free,” then gift the credit after they sign up. No promo code infrastructure needed.
Reward your best members. Hit a community milestone? Thank your day-one subscribers with a free month. It costs you nothing but goodwill.
Resolve support issues gracefully. Server outage? Bot glitch? Instead of a full refund (which cancels access), gift a free month. The subscriber stays, you keep the relationship.
Contest and giveaway prizes. Free months make great prizes for community events, challenges, or engagement competitions.
